THE husband of a woman who died after she was in collision with a car in Goodrich has paid tribute to her.
Rose Thomas, aged 72, of Cheltenham, was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a Citroen Xsara Picasso outside Flansford Priory at around 9pm last Friday (Sep 3).
Mrs Thomas had just been to wedding reception with her husband Ray.
"Rose had a fantastic day on Friday, we had been at a wedding reception where we met with lots of old friends and family," said Mr Thomas.
"She spent the day chatting and laughing like she always did.
"I just want people to know that Rose didn't suffer.
"She was laughing and joking before it happened, she was smiling right up until the end.
"That sums up my Rose."
Mrs Thomas grew up in Bourton-on-the-Hill before moving to Cheltenham in 1954.
She married Ray at St Paul's Church, Cheltenham in 1958. They have six godchildren, Paul Davis, John Thomas, Robert Griffiths, Jonathan Bond, Rebecca Griffiths and Megan Gilder.
Mrs Thomas' funeral will be held at Cheltenham Crematorium next Thursday (Sep 16) at 2pm, then afterwards at Churchdown Club.
Donations are to be made to the head injuries charity, Headway House.
