MEMORIAL WALK - A 12½-mile walk around the bounds of Much Cowarne, in memory of Jim Holland who died on August 17 last year, has been organised for Sunday, August 22, starting at 9am at Panks Bridge Farm.
The walk will be taken at a gentle pace, with comfort stops. Attendance payment of £5 is requested in aid of Much Cowarne Church. Walkers are asked to bring drinks, a picnic, and suitable foot gear. Details available on 01432 820282.
FRIENDSHIP CLUB - The friendship club will meet at Stoke Lacy Village Hall at 10.30am on Tuesday, August 17. The local community support officer will be showing films which could be to members’ advantage, and there will be a bingo session to fill any remaining time. New members are always welcome.
MUCH COWARNE CHURCH FETE - There will be a pre-fete meeting at Foxwelp, Much Cowarne, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, August 18, to complete plans for this year’s fete. Anyone who can assist is invited to attend or to call Ted Parkes on 0785 4024662.
