A GROUP of Bromyard residents have celebrated a milestone in northern France.
Bromyard has re-affirmed its twinning with the Normandy town of Athis some 30 years after the partnership was agreed.
The twinning charters were first signed by officials in 1980 in two separate ceremonies either side of the Channel.
That spirit of entente cordiale was extended last weekend following a civic ceremony, overseen by local dignitaries and politicians.
Some 34 Bromyardians joined the four-day excursion, which included trips to a biscuit factory and chateau.
Martin Ganderton, of the Twinning Association, said the French would made the return trip on July 10.
