A MAN touched a woman's bottom as she walked through a Hereford underpass.
The man approached the woman from behind as she was walking towards Sainsbury's through the subway at the end of Eign Street, Hereford, police said.
He then assaulted her.
The woman turned and attempted to hit the man with her shopping bag and the man left towards Hereford town through Eign Gate past Woolworths.
The offender is described as white, about 5ft 11in to 6ft tall, and very slim.
He was around 40 years old with dark brown or black receding hair and was wearing a plain waist length beige jacket and beige-coloured trousers.
The assault took place at around 5pm on Wednesday.
