ENIGMA singer Lisa-Lee Dark has added her rare congenital disorder to a website launched by two Hereford motor mechanics.

Robert Gore and Andy Robinson approached Dark's agent, Emma Rees, after launching their problem-shooting website called People's Ark.

Her unusual problem highlights the importance of the site, which allows people who feel they are different to talk about their problems.

The 22-year-old thought she was a boy until well into her teens. Her hermaphrodite condition, called congenital adrenal hyperplasia, led to an excessive outpouring of the male hormone, testosterone, which has given her a masculine heavy jaw and thick brows.

The concept for the website was born 10 years ago after an upsetting incident for Mr Gore involving an introductory agency.

"A woman screamed at me; 'I don't want anyone with any emotional baggage,' and I realised there should be a place where people with problems can talk."

In recent months, the idea was re-drawn in dust at the garage by the ex-artist, and presented to Andy.

The men are anxious for approval from medically-recognised organisations and hope to get Hereford hospitals and the British Medical Association on side.

They plan to introduce supportive services to the site, such as medical advisory notices and organ donation information and administration services. A second website is planned for the near future called Donor Ark.

People's Ark is allegedly the only one of its kind and invites users to add categories to suit their individual needs. It is thought that spokespeople for Lisa-Lee will be available to talk about her problems, and her agent has pledged she will help get the website off the ground.

DonorArk.com, if supported by hospitals and medical organisations world-wide, promises to revolutionise organ donation and help organ transplant co-ordinators save lives.
