COUNTY dressage rider Alice Hurley put in a fine performance representing Great Britain against Ireland at the two-day Blarney Castle Dressage Festival in Cork.

Twelve-year-old Hurley, a pupil at John Kyrle High School, Ross-on-Wye, came fifth in the Individual International Class and was part of the winning pony team in the International Team Section.

She was the second youngest of the 20-strong British team who competed at the event and the experience will boost her for the British Dressage Summer Festival in Addington, Buckinghamshire on July 31-August 1.

She is currently looking for sponsors and any companies or individuals who may be able to help should call 01432 840649.
