n Astute negotiations played a part in the Ross ladies' 6-5 victory over the club seniors in their annual match.

Seniors captain Gwyn Hawker received a few old fashioned looks from some of his team when it was announced that, as well as receiving two additional shots to their handicaps before fixing the stroke difference, the ladies would have a flying start by being one up on the first tee.

In the clash between the captains, Diana Harrup and her partner recorded a 3 and 2 victory over Hawker and David Jones.

n Belmont's Panny Caves and Viv Jury finished fourth in a field of 80 in the LGU Coronation Foursomes regional final at Worfield.
