Fromes Hill are still searching for their first win of 2002 after Talbot Head recorded the double over them in the Malvern Football League Division One.

On two occasions Fromes Hill took the lead but were still unable to record any points for the second week in succession. John Gittens opened the scoring for the home side to record a 1-0 half-time lead.

Straight from the restart and Talbot Head equalised before Shaun Taylor snuck in Fromes Hill's second to reclaim the lead. Again straight from the kick-off and Talbot Head levelled before scoring another two goals in the second half to win 4-2.

Conrad Arnold, Nick Docker and two goals from Daniel Briscoe were enough to take the three points and move them above Fromes Hill in the table. Fromes Hill drop two places after their latest defeat.

Callow End Harriers were the other team to move to a higher league position after collecting three points over local rivals Old Bush Willie Thornes. For Harriers Mike Roberts, Luke Broadway, Wayne Egerton, Ashley Johnson and Daniel Burston were on target as they raced to a 5-2 win. A Mark King brace for Old Bush restored some respectability for the visitors.

Bell Inn '98 arguably could have still been suffering from the long Christmas break as they conceded four goals in the opening 45 minutes at home to Morgan Aero 8. Morgan could have increased their advantage in the second period however Luke Ledbury in the Bell goal saved from the penalty spot to make the final score 4-0 to Morgan Aero 8. Morgan's scorers were Rusling, Griffin, Rodway and Philpotts with keeper Steve Davis their man of the match.

Interthornes couldn't repeat last week's top effort over Talbot Head as they were defeated by an organised and efficient Club AC30 at Lower Howsell Road playing fields. Club AC30, who are chasing Bull Allstars at the top of the division, reduced the gap between the top two after their 5-0 victory. A Danny Morris hat-trick was the highlight of Club AC30's win and after taking a 2-0 lead at the interval they had Daniel Haywood and Tony Reece to thank for recording the other two goals.

Club AC 30, Old Bush Willie Thornes and Brewery will compete in the Worcester Royal Infirmary Minor Cup Round Three this Sunday as league leaders Bull Allstars return to action as they await the visit of Bell Inn 98 at Ross Road playing fields.

Two of this weeks winners, Talbot Head and Callow End Harriers, meet at the Hill Centre, Upton, Fromes Hill will be hoping for better fortune at home to Interthornes and Morgan Aero 8 travel to third-placed Kempsey United.

In the Under 18s Youth Division Rosebowl semi-finals, Welland were the surprise 2-1 winners over the holders Tupsley Pegasus Juniors. Welland will now meet either Malvern Town or Campden Town, whose fixture was postponed at late notice. Tupsley Pegasus Juniors complete their league programme this coming Sunday at home to Libbery Wanderers as Malvern Town compete in the Worcester Royal Infirmary Youth Cup versus Headless Cross.
