IAN Wright has a chance to kick-start his season against Farnborough Town on Tuesday night.

The Hereford United skipper is in line for a starting place for the first time since the November 30 trip to Dagenham & Red-bridge.

Andy Tretton's one-match suspension paves the way for Wright's recall.

It has been a season of ups and downs for Wright who suffered a broken hand against Northwich which put him out for two games and was later dropped for the FA Cup clash against Wigan.

During a frustrating two-month spell Wright has featured just once in the Bulls' last nine games as a substitute in the 1-0 win at Chester City on December 20.

However with Graham Turner's side winning seven league games in that sequence of results Wright has had little option other than to bide his time.

"I have not been too happy but you just have to get on with it," he said.

"It stemmed from the injury and that was it really because the lads have been playing well and there is not a lot you can say.

"It doesn't matter who you are if the team is playing well then you have to patient but now I've got my chance I want to win it back."

Tuesday's match sees a visit for the Bulls to the infamous Aimita Stadium, which was deemed not safe enough to host Arsenal in the FA Cup. But Wright and his team-mates will not be dwelling too much on the infrastructure as they bid to stay in touch for a play off place.

"Farnborough have not got the best of grounds but to be honest that doesn't matter - it's what happens on the pitch that counts," said Wright. "They did well against Arsenal considering they were playing the double champions but we are doing okay."
