A WOMAN was attacked both physically and verbally as she walked through the underpass between Eign Gate and Eign Street, Hereford on Sunday, April 20.

The assault, which took place between 6.50pm and 7pm, involved her attacker grabbing her around the neck and waist and suggesting that he was going to rape her.

The woman struggled and the man made off towards Eign Gate and the city centre.

The man is described as white around 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall approximately 19 - 20 years old of thin and scrawny build with short cut fair hair. He was wearing distinctive 'Joe 90' type black rimmed glasses and a black jacket.
