Google's Big Brother even watches the SAS

THE SAS has always used specialist intelligence gathering but now its own whereabouts is readily accessible to the world.

Most locations – including the entrance to the SAS camp in Credenhill and its military training ground at Pontrilas – are now online after Google launched its Street View programme this week.

Internet users can now zoom in through the entrance at Credenhill and view people and vehicles behind the security fences.

I find it incredible that the HT complains about national security because Google has photographed the front gate of the SAS camp on its latest mapping update.

Yet on the the front page of this week's Hereford Times and AND on their own internet webpage they show the same image - thereby promoting the image to an even wider population. Nice own goal HT!

Google sent camera cars around the county to capture the many images needed for the new service. The SAS camp at Credenhill as it appears on Google.
