FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Welsh border this week when 100 hectares of grass and bracken went on fire.
Two crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and rescue Service and three from Mid and West Wales went to Bryngwyn Hill near Painscastle just after midday on Monday and used beaters and a fogging system to tackle the blaze.
It came after almost 100 bracken fires broke out in South Wales last week.
