BORDERS residents are being offered the opportunity to take local issues to a higher level.

Powys Local Access Forum - which advises Powys County Council, the Countryside Council for Wales and the Welsh Assembly on countryside recreation matters - is looking for new input.

Members sign up for three years at a time and meet between two and four times annually to consult on major issues like common land and rights of way.
