Timbuktu charity calls for help

LINKS with Hay-on-Wye’s twin town Timbuktu are going from strength to strength and more volunteers are needed.
Hay2Timbuktu needs two trustees to join an existing pair to help with financial and general administration, which organisers say would not be too arduous or time-consuming.
Dr Julie Grigg, part of a medical strand of the organisation called Medics4Timbuktu, said anyone aged over 18 could apply to assist with treasury duties, signing cheques and similar jobs.
Volunteers are also wanted to help with occasional fund-raising and other events.
