Political 'speed dating' comes to Bromyard

YOUNG people and politics rarely match - but a Herefordshire Council programme could start a beautiful relationship.

Bromyard youngsters are being encouraged to attend a ‘political speed dating event’ next Tuesday (Jul 14).

The event, from 5 to 6.30pm at the Bromyard Centre, follows concerns about the lack of youth facilities in the town.

The event follows the usual rules, but will give youngsters a chance to quiz councillors, youth workers, police officers and other adults. It should give Herefordshire Council a better understand of youth issues, while introducing kids to community figures.

Pippa Hart, Herefordshire Council youth worker, said feedback would be used to develop facilities for Bromyard kids.
