A MAN who found God while using the bible to smoke drugs in prison is to give a talk about religion in Hereford.

Richard Taylor, from Llanelli, South Wales, will be speaking at the Christian Life Centre in Edgar Street next Saturday (July 18) at 7.30pm.

Mr Taylor started taking drugs at an early age, but his life changed when he started reading pages from the Bible that he used to roll up a spliff while on remand for burglary at Swansea prison in 1993.

He found God as a result and has preached to thousands of people, counselled addicts and hosted his own television show, To Catch a Thief.

His book of the same name was voted as the best Christian book of 2008 and is used in prisons throughout the UK.
