FREEMASONS in Herefordshire have pledged to fundraise for the Midlands Air Ambulance for the next five years.
Rodney Smallwood, Provincial Grand Master for the county, expressed unreserved backing for the service.
He stressed its importance locally, given the county’s rural remoteness and the nature of its roads.
Masons in Herefordshire raised more than £580,000 for charity over the last five years and the Freemasons’ Grand Charity has donated almost as much nationally to the Air Ambulance.
Herefordshire Freemasons recently donated £3,000 towards the refurbishment of the St Thomas Cantilupe Shrine in Hereford Cathedral.
