Reminder! The second Merbach Commons 2009 Work Day is due to be held on Thursday 29th January. This time, we will be clearing selected trees and scrub from the upper, flatter areas of the common. This will make the annual programme of bracken bruising on the common easier. We will of course be leaving some areas of scrub as nesting habitat for birds.
We will be meeting at 10:00 am at the new gate where the bridleway joins the eastern edge of the common at SO 309 447. This is approached by walking along the green lane which joins the minor road at SO 315 443. If you would like any further directions please ring Tim Breakwell on 01432 853205. Hope to see you there!
