AN EXTENSION to a county primary school has been officially opened by the Bishop of Hereford and a Paralympian gold medallist.
The Rt Rev Anthony Priddis joined swimmer Sascha Kindred to cut the ribbon during a ceremony to open a new school hall at Pembridge Primary School.
The multi-functional building will provide the school’s 101 pupils with more room to hold PE lessons and assemblies. It also has the potential to be used by community groups.
Funding for the project was provided by, among others, local businesses, residents and past pupils who gave money towards the flooring, helping to make it suitable for the activities it will host.
Work began on the extension in January, with plans already in place to transform the old school hall into a library and a classroom this year.
