A MEDIEVAL themed Christmas will be hosted at a National Trust property near Bromyard later this month.
Visitors to the Brockhampton Estate are being invited to step back in time and learn about the origins of modernday traditions on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14.
The property will be brought to life by the Wythe Retinue re-enactment group and festive gifts will also be on sale.
Susan Brace, visitor services manager, said: “From music to mince pies, wassail bowls to boars’ heads, yule logs to Saint Nicholas, this weekend will be a fascinating glimpse into our past and the traditions of Christmas.”
The festive activities will start at 11am and run until 3pm.
After the Christmas excesses, visitors can return to the estate on Sunday, December 28, to enjoy a guided Christmas Walk around the estate.
The walk starts at 10.30am and tickets cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.
