HEREFORD’S MP has taken time out of his duties to lend support to US Presidential Candidate Barack Obama.
The Democrat makes his final campaign stop tonight in Jacksonville, Florida, before tomorrow’s general election, and Paul Keetch will be there to rally round him.
The Liberal Democrat MP, who is with a team of his ex-members of staff, said the trip has been funded privately.
“This trip comes about with my long-standing interest in US politics, and with history in the making I just had to be part of it,” said Mr Keetch.
“Obama launched his campaign on a platform of hope and change and I hope that my presence here can add in some small way to the energy and optimism of the campaign.”
