It's a Struggle, but why not enjoy it?

Managers, both football and others would have come across the following piece of wisdom.

'You will find out more about your team, and yourself, when the going gets tough'

Something not only true, but something we Bulls fans might give a little thought to, as our heroes struggle to muster a decent shot, let alone a point or a goal.

Graham Turner is no doubt finding out a little more about his troops now, than he would have done in any of the recent promotion seasons, and we have to hope that having been there before personally, he can turn things around. Something as I say, we have to hope for, but can do little about.

But there is a little we can do, and having gorged on success (who will ever forget Leicester or Brentford?), why not show what we are made of?

Why not look into ourselves, and say 'thanks lads for some unforgettable times, I'm here with you, still turning-up, still shouting for you, still hoping, still believing.'

If you, as many do, have issues with personnel, management, tactics, selection or whatever, save them up, there will be a time and a place. You may even be right, but just how happy will you be as a League Two fan saying 'I told you so.'

There will be a few Bulls fans out there who have only known good times, but from experience, I'll tell you this. Bank the pain of the last three months, file it away, and the next time we have a Brentford or a Leicester, you will savour it all the more.

Sure, air your grumbles, share your frustrations, but turn up on a Saturday, and get behind your team.

There is a terrace chant aimed at those who turn their back on a fight, and it goes 'Where were you when you were crap?'

It feels so much better to reply - 'I was right here mate'.

Players and managers come and go, but the club will remain.

Embrace the pain, even, in a slightly strange way, enjoy it, it won't last forever.
