FIREFIGHTERS and RSPCA officers have plucked a badly injured swan from the River Wye this morning(Sunday).
The bird snared itself on a stray fishing line at Hampton Bishop and broke a wing in frantic attempts to get free.
It was "very distressed" when the rescue crew arrived just after 10am.
Firefighters took to the water to help RSPCA officers untangle the swan and bring it to the bank.
The swan was taken for treatment and will go to a swan rescue sanctuary to recover.
