BILL Wiggin has backed The Wildlife Trusts as they help British wildlife adapt to a changing climate.
The Leominster MP and shadow agriculture and fisheries minister was at the House of Commons for an event celebrating the creation of 100 Living Landscapes, which cover one million hectares around the UK.
Mr Wiggin said he was delighted to help the trusts, which include Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, and had signed an ‘early day motion 2190’.
“This puts pressure on the government to ensure that climate change adaption programmes are underpinned by policies and proposals that value the natural environment,” he added.
