MIGRANT workers will have the opportunity to find out more about the British way of life and legal requirements at an event in Hereford High Town today (Sunday)between 10am and 4pm.
The event called 'Welcome to Herefordshire' is being lead by West Mercia Police and advice will be offered on contacting the emergency services, car insurance and where to get help for a range of services.
Representatives from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, Herefordshire Council, trade unions and a Baptist Church will also be available to offer support and advice on issues such as personal safety, fire safety, workers rights, and housing matters.
Visitors will also have the chance to visit a website – welcometoherefordshire.com – in Tesco's in Bewell Street which can be navigated in English, Polish, Portuguese and Russian.
