HEREFORDSHIRE Council wants a crack down on illegal rubbish dumpers and is calling for stronger action against those who dump litter illegally.
Councillor John Jarvis, cabinet member for the environment, said: “We are committed to keeping our beautiful local landscape free from fly-tipping and will not hesitate to bring wrongdoers to justice.
“Illegally dumped waste is the scourge of the countryside it can be found in roadsides, laybys and private land, and ranges from fridges and mattresses, to waste that is potentially hazardous to health.”
Fly-tippers can be reported on 01432 261761.
