HEREFORDSHIRE residents keen to explore their heritage can get help from a paleography workshop showing how to read old family, house and community records stored at Hereford’s record office in Harold Street.
Starting at 10.30am on Thursday, May 22, visitors to the Museum Resource and Learning Centre on Friar Street will be shown how to read old documents and scripts.
Senior archivist Rhys Griffith said: “With a bit of practice, the most challenging scripts can be deciphered and this can open up a whole new world for users.”
