A PUBLIC meeting has been called to discuss the potential closure of Kington Children's Centre.

It will be held on Wednesday May 7 at Kington Primary School at 7pm to discuss the potential closure.

Ros Hatherill, from the council's early years department, said earlier this month that the Gravel Hill centre could close its doors in July at the end of the summer term.

The proposed closure followed a report stating only half the full time places needed for it to break even are currently filled.

But campaigners unhappy with the proposal and have organised the meeting in support of the centre.
