Herefordshire's "business event of the year" takes top billing at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts today.

A panel of major speakers has the stage in an event intended to raise the profile of, and promote the potential for, business in the county.

The event is hosted by Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with regional development agency Advantage West Midlands and the Hereford Times.

Councillor Adrian Blackshaw, Herefordshire Council cabinet member for economic development, said the event attracted an "excellent" response from exhibitors.

"This is the first time we've brought such a range of businesses together under one roof," said Coun Blackshaw.

Among the speakers are Mick Laverty, CEO Advantage West Midlands, Allan White, CEO Central Technology Belt, venture capitalist Stephen Dawson, and Herefordshire's own "Brummie" Stokes, founder of Taste for Adventure.
