TOTS at a Ross-on-Wye nursery have pledged to help a school in the Gambia.
Pupils, parents and staff at Oak House Nursery School are raising funds for the Freetown Community pre-school in the Gunjur region of Gambia.
Every year, between May and October, the school's small bamboo hut gets washed away and it has to be rebuilt before the start of term.
More than 100 pupils aged between three and seven are taught at the school but they have no toys or resources.
Just under £2,000 has already been raised but £11,000 is the target amount.
Pupils at Oak House have also been learning about life in the Gambia and it is hoped that links between the two schools will be forged over the next few years.
Sue is now hoping to get other primary schools and nurseries in Herefordshire involved and will show pictures and give talks on request.
