A HOMEOWNER who spent £20,000 on a summerhouse and decking in his garden has had his latest planning appeal dismissed.

Tim Woodcock applied last year for retrospective planning permission for the work he carried out in his garden in Hartland Close, Belmont.

But this was refused and his three appeals have since been dismissed.

However, the council did agree that he could keep the upper decking, extending approximately three metres beyond the northern edge. He also does not have to remove the plants the enforcement notice listed.

However, the notice still stands in respect of moving the garden room, lower decking, timber stairs and steps outside the residential curtilage which must be carried out within three months.
