THE circus is coming to Hereford's city centre next week.

From July 31 to August 4 there will be circus skills workshops and performances in High Town.

Anyone can join in with the skills workshops and there will also be performers showing off what they can do.

There will be eight paid-for activities to choose from including hula hooping, juggling, contortion and aerial skills.

Mike Truelove, operations manager at Hereford City Life (created by the Hereford Business Improvement District) said: “This really is a rare opportunity to try at first-hand some quite exciting performance skills which at the same time builds confidence too.

"Anyone taking part is also invited to perform on stage with the professionals in a Saturday show and parade. Absolutely no experience or ability is required and the artists will be looking after you to help you get the best out of your session."

There will be two live shows on August 4 from 1.30pm onwards: one by the public and the other by the professional performers including live music.

During the five days there will be a daily Fun Circus Riddle Trail for those who have booked a workshop – there’s a goody bag and free helium balloon for everyone correctly solving the riddles.

To book onto the workshops go to herefordcitylife.co.uk under the What’s On Section or direct from their Facebook page Hereford City Life.
