HEREFORD'S Mayor took to the floor to enjoy the sounds of bhangra when an Indian restaurant relaunched in the city last night.
Mowchak, on Commercial Road, is now under the new management of Nazrul Haque and he invited Bollywood dancers to help get the party started.
The team from Desi Nach soon had most of the diners up on their feet – including the 636th Mayor of Hereford.
Wearing her mayor's chains, Councillor Sharon Michael joined other guests in a post-curry dance lesson.
Earlier Mr Haque had told those gathered in the restaurant that he hoped the new business would help to bring the various communities of Hereford together.
