A NEW Kington event is promising to be a kaleidoscopic experience, with 70 exhibitors in 12 venues across the town.

The Marches Makers Festival takes place from this Saturday to Bank Holiday Monday.

St Mary’s Church will host more than 200 pieces of work by 40 artists and makers in a wide variety of media.

The Old Police Station, Hergest Croft Gardens, The Border Bean Café and Kingswood Village Hall will also be displaying artwork as part of the festival.

Local galleries are supporting the event too including Made in the Marches in Church Street, Studio 54 in Bridge Street and Leg of Mutton in Duke Street.

The Kington Art and Craft Market, Harmony Handmade at 47 High Street and The Kington Centre and Library is also involved in the event.
