HOLD a tea party to raise money for a breast cancer centre that costs £300,000 a year to run.

Breast Cancer Haven in St Owen Street, Hereford held its own Big Tea Cosy celebration on International Women's Day.

Alison Palfrey, fundraising manager, said: "Our Big Tea Cosy was a fantastic celebration, bringing together visitors and supporters on International Women’s Day, a very fitting day to celebrate the centre and the women we support here.

"We are hugely grateful to everyone who supported the event by coming along, donating raffle items and also to Tesco Express, Holme Lacy Road who donated cakes, tea and coffee for the event."

The charity is asking members of the community to hold their own tea parties to raise money for the centre which supports women through breast cancer treatment.
