SNOW is expected to return to Herefordshire this weekend. 

The Met Office said a bitterly cold weekend with snow lies in store for the county. 

This evening and tonight there will be patchy rain over the hills which will turn to snow overnight.

By dawn it will be bitterly cold with a strong easterly wind, and scattered snow showers. The minimum temperature is -1 °C.

Saturday will be bitterly cold with a mixture of sunny spells and snow showers.

Sunday will remain bitterly cold and windy with occasional snow showers, and further accumulations expected.

Monday looks more settled and somewhat milder and some good spells of sunshine expected by Tuesday.
