ALIVE and Pickin' is Weobley's own band of five young-at-heart mature musicians, who play for charity.
They comprise Chris Breen on fiddle and keyboard, Lyn Bruce on mandolin, Brian Holley on guitar and harmonica, Bob Best, lead singer and guitar with Kate Best on double bass.
They play bluegrass, jazz, blues and folk with lots of good humour thrown in.
Over the last two weeks they have played for Weobley Community Centre, followed by a gig celebrating Cradley WI's 80th birthday and a return visit to Leadon Bank Care Home in Ledbury.
This year Alive and Pickin's charity is the Midlands Air Ambulance, for which these three events have raised £400 - a good way to start the year.
For information about or to book the band ring Kate or Bob Best on 01544 318513.
