ROADS were blocked after heavy rain caused rivers across the county to breach their banks.
The River Wye at Hereford Bridge measured a high of 4.21 metres at its peak on Monday afternoon, the highest since December 2015.
The normal level of the Wye at Hereford Bridge in average weather conditions is between 0.05m and 3.29m.
The River Lugg also breached its banks and a flood warning was issued south of Leominster. A peak level of 2.55 metres was recorded at Butts Bridge Gauge on Monday morning.
Some motorist found themselves in trouble due to the flooding and one driver was rescued from their car by firefighters after they became stuck on the A438 at Letton.
Only tractors and 4x4 vehicles were able to pass through the floodwater between Clifford and the Whitney Toll Bridge.
Watery Lane in Lower Bullingham was also blocked by floodwater.
The flooding happened due to heavy rain throughout Saturday and Sunday.
