THREE Cocks Vintage Society recently celebrated their 40th birthday at the Harp Inn at Glasbury-on-Wye.
During the evening money raised at their steam and vintage rally was presented to various charities.
Neil Hughes received a cheque on behalf of the Longtown Mountain Rescue Team for £500 from the society secretary Margaret James.
A similar amount was given to Kevin Harding of the Brecon Team by Gwilym Lewis.
Both teams expressed their gratitude for the donations.
Sue Farmer received a cheque for Wales Air Ambulance of £1000 from Gerald Morgan and another £1000 was designated for the Midland Air Ambulance whose representative was unable to attend.
Margaret James was given a bouquet of flowers and a set of crystal wine glasses for her outstanding service as secretary to the club society for the past forty years by Tom Henderson - another long standing member Mrs James announced her intention of standing down at the AGM in January and thanked the members for their support over the years.
The members enjoyed a buffet supper anticipating another successful rally on August 12.
