MORNING shoppers in Bromyard joined in the festive spirit on December 23, when Bromyard Wind Band played Christmas carols in the street outside The Falcon and the Co-op as a charity fundraiser.
Shoppers contributed to the collecting boxes in aid of their local charity Bromyard Community Transport, and helped raise £375.
This charity provides transport for people who are unable to use public transport and have no transport of their own. It is mainly operated by volunteer drivers using their own vehicles or the charity's own wheelchair-accessible minibuses. Passengers pay a contribution towards the cost of their journey based on local bus fares.
Bromyard Symphonic Wind Band will next play in public at a New Year Concert at The Falcon Hotel on January 19.
