THE Environment Agency has warned flooding is possible in parts of the county.

The River Wye is continuing to rise due to melting snow and heavy rainfall, with Hay-on-Wye, Bredwardine, Belmont, Old Wye Bridge and Mordiford affected.

However, the Hereford flood barriers are not expected to be deployed.

The Environment Agency said: "A peak level of between 4.3 and 4.5 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. The Hereford flood barriers are not expected to be deployed."
