A man was rescued after getting into difficulties in the River Wye.
Firefighters were called to the Old Bridge in Bridge Street, Hereford, at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
The man was rescued by boat after being seen in flood water by a passer-by.
Chris Fairley, watch manager at Hereford Fire Station, said: "The man was in danger in fast moving waters. We would remind the public that even if the water does not look dangerous it most certainly is."
