AS a fan of the marvellous independent shops and cafés on Church Street, as well as an occasional participant at Hereford Cathedral’s Evensong, I am incredulous at the council’s attitude to parking on Castle Street and environs.
Consolation parking vouchers have been introduced.
Now I have to park, go in search of a voucher and return to my car.
Rather inconvenient and frustrating, but I will do it to support these wonderful businesses. How on earth are people who have mobility issues supposed to cope with this?
Surely the easiest thing is for the council to admit they made a mistake and return to the parking as before?
