TO CELEBRATE their 10-year anniversary Hereford Deaf Children Society took a group of children to Paris.

The society support deaf children and their siblings by organising bi-monthly activities and also an annual holiday to enable parents to have respite and also for deaf children to take part in activities in a communication friendly atmosphere with experienced communicators.

The group support children with grommets, children experiencing problems with their hearing and all spectrums of hearing loss from a mild hearing loss to profoundly deaf children/young people.

The recent trip saw 30 children and young people aged between eight and 23 years of age attended. Deaf children/young people and their siblings were residents at a chateau in Paris and spent two days at Disneyland Paris.

Ten experienced volunteers supported the children during their trip.

Hereford Deaf Children Society are privileged to have experienced and dedicated volunteers who give up their time to enable deaf children to take part in activities in a communication friendly atmosphere.

The group would also like to thank everybody who funded their holiday/activities as they would not be able to arrange the activities without the financial support they receive.

Anybody who would like any further information about the Hereford Deaf Children Society, to either support them financially or would like their child/children to take part in the activities they organise please contact Tracy Rudd by email at: hereforddeafchildrensociety@yahoo.co.uk or on mobile number 07512 982616.
