A49 Newtown Road southbound to re-open this evening
THE A49 southbound in Newtown Road in Hereford will re-open this evening after a nine-week closure.
The road closed on September 11 from the junction with Mortimer Road to the Pizza Hut roundabout.
The roadworks took place to widen the A49 Newtown Road and reconfigure the roundabout next to Pizza Hut.
This was done as part of the City Link Road development, which includes the area surrounding the road.
A council spokesman said the road will be re-opened this evening but they are not sure of the exact time.
