AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man who died after his car hit a tree.
Peter Smith, 51, from Hereford, died on October 17, following a crash on the on the B4352 between Bredwardine and Merbach, near Hay-on-Wye.
The Renault Clio, which Mr Smith had been driving, was travelling towards Hereford when it left the road before hitting a tree.
The inquest was opened at Hereford Town Hall last week and adjourned to allow police enquiries to continue.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anybody who saw the manner in which the vehicle was being driving prior to the crash to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 772s of 17 October 2017.
