MORE than 100 ploughmen showed off their skills when the Trumpet and District Agricultural Society met for one of the biggest days in their calendar.
The ploughing match was held at Friars Court in Weston Beggard by kind permission of the Probert Family earlier this month.
The sun shone on 106 ploughmen and six teams of horses ploughing the Herefordshire soil when a replica of the golden plough, which was presented to the late John Gwilliam back in 1960, was put on display to inspire competitors.
