RELAXATION will be on the mind of a care company when it joins forces with a charity to put on a wellbeing event next month.

The event, hosted by Kemble at Home and the Yeleni Therapy and Support Centre, will have an emphasis on learning how to deal with stress – and takes place on National Stress Awareness Day.

Sandra Taylor from Kemble at Home said: “Life is fast-paced these days, even in our very rural Herefordshire, so experiencing stress is almost inevitable.

“Our carers are perfect examples of people who deal with stressful and emotional situations on a daily basis, thus this event is perfect for them to unwind and relax.

“Learning how to deal with stress is imperative as it is one of the main reasons for many of today’s illnesses.”

The event takes place on November 1 from 4pm to 7pm and there will be three workshops – kinesiology from 4pm to 5pm, seated yoga from 5pm to 6pm, and self-help stress management techniques from 6pm to 7pm.

There will also be an opportunity to try a 20-minute taster therapy at £5 a session. All proceeds from the day will go to the Yeleni Therapy and Support Centre Charity, which provides free therapeutic sessions and ongoing support to any cancer patient.
