POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman died in Bromyard yesterday.

Officers were called to reports of a collision between a Toyota Yaris and a pedestrian on the High Street at around 2.45pm.

Emergency services including an ambulance, fire crews and police were in attendance and the road was closed.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The next of kin have been informed.

A police spokesman said: “Investigating officers are trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident, and are therefore appealing for anyone who may have been within the area and seen the vehicle prior to the incident, to come forward.”
