A TOWN centre street in Hay-on-Wye was closed on Saturday after a property was gutted by a fire.
Castle Street in Hay-on-Wye was closed while emergency services attended the fire at 2.14pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said that the fire was confined to the rear kitchen and front living room of the property.
Firefighters from Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Brecon attended the scene along with police and the ambulance service.
The road was closed for around an hour. No injuries were sustained.
